Marriage certificate translation for Chile and abroad.
Translate marriage records and their annotations for institutions in Chile or overseas. Share the complete document and the recipient’s instructions so format, certification and delivery can be agreed before work begins.
A foreign marriage record for Chile
Chilean consular guidance on marriage registration calls for the foreign marriage certificate to be apostilled or legalized and translated into Spanish where applicable. This is a procedure-specific example, not a universal translation format.
Identify the consulate, civil registry, court or other recipient. Translation does not register the marriage or determine its legal effects. Ask the recipient which translation and source-copy requirements apply.
A Chilean certificate for use abroad
Chilean Spanish-language marriage records can also be reviewed for English translation. The receiving country, institution and purpose determine the required formalities.
A translator’s statement and Chilean FEA can be discussed when suitable. Neither provides a universal acceptance guarantee or replaces a Ministry-issued translation when the recipient expressly requires one.
Preserve names, dates and annotations
Review covers names, dates, places, registration numbers, issuing authorities, annotations and relevant stamps and signatures. Include reverse sides and attached authentication pages.
A discrepancy in the original record must be clarified; it is not silently corrected in the translation. Corrections to the underlying record belong with the competent authority.
One complete document package
Include any apostille or legalization and explain whether it must also be translated. Birth and criminal record certificates in the same file can be reviewed together for consistent personal details.
Send legible files, the country of issue, recipient instructions and your required date. If you need special confidentiality arrangements, start with a project description before sharing personal records.

Should I include the apostille?
Yes, send it for review when it forms part of your document package. The recipient’s instructions determine the agreed translation scope.
Can I arrange translation from outside Chile?
Yes. Source files and requirements can be reviewed remotely; price, timing, format and any certification are confirmed before work begins.
Have a document for review?
